New Ventures India releases an annual Call for Business Plans
for environmentally-focused small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
in target sectors seeking investment from Rs. 50 lacs to Rs.
25 crores. New Ventures screens businesses for financial outlook,
innovation, market potential, and social and environmental benefits.
New Ventures selects profitable SMEs that safeguard the environment
and engage local communities while creating new markets and
strong investment opportunities. The more than 100 SMEs that
are part of the New Ventures Sustainable Enterprise Global Portfolio
have attracted significant investment capital, increased sales,
created jobs, and become leaders in their sectors.
Eligibility
If your company is seeking investment in the range of Rs.50
lacs to Rs.25 crores and is operating in India in one of the
following environmental sectors, then you are eligible to apply
to become a New Ventures Company.
New Ventures target sectors:
- Advance Technologies for Water Management
- Agriculture/Organic Products
- Clean Technologies
- Ecotourism/Hospitality
- Energy Efficiency/ Renewable Energy
- Green Building Materials
- Rapidly Renewable Materials
- Resources, Recycle & Reuse
If your company is selected as a Finalist, your company will become
part of New Ventures India Portfolio. Finalists will receive:
- Intensive business consulting services
- Opportunity to present at the New Ventures India Investor Forum in Mumbai, October 9-11, 2007
- Access to the New Ventures network of investors, buyers, and potential partners
- Eligibility to apply for consulting from MBA student teams
- On-going designation as a New Ventures Company
