Pro Nature is in the business of selling certified organic food products with focus on developing a strong brand, reaching out to consumers through super-markets and convenience stores with a strong supply-chain of organic farmers, farmer groups and NGOs

Social and Environmental Impact

All Pro Nature products are certified organic by the Swiss body IMO Control. All raw materials sourced are duly certified organic and come with "transaction certificate" issued by certification bodies. By developing a market for organic produce, Pro Nature provides the following Environmental and Social Benefits to society
  • Make organic farming which is less harmful to the environment sustainable
  • Encourage farmers to switch to organic farming
  • Provide a market for a variety of products that do not have an export market
  • Products procured at better prices that that is available to farmers making organic farming sustainable for the farmer
  • Motivate farmers to continue to practice organic farming
  • Supporting micro-enterprises by outsourcing processing and packaging of products locally

Current status and Expansion Plans

Pro Nature launched its products in the domestic market in 2006 and is currently selling products worth INR 14, 00,000 every month in Bangalore, Hyderabad & TN without any awareness campaigns. Pro Nature sells in about 200 super-markets about 100 of which are in Bangalore (including Reliance Fresh, SPAR, Safal, TOTAL, Heritage and others). Over 300 super-markets and over 1000 smaller retail stores are yet to be tapped in Bangalore (including "Food-World", "More", "Future Group", "Spencer's", and many others), similarly in other major cities. Sales of INR 60 million p.a. are achievable in Bangalore alone through marketing and awareness campaigns.

Funding Requirements

Funds amounting to INR 2.5 crores are required for expansion into other markets within India, Infrastructure and Supply Chain development, Team Building and Brand building
