Business Idea Skyshade Daylight's objective is to harvest sunlight for day lighting applications for all buildings. Towards achieving this, the company undertakes development, manufacturing and installation of products and systems which can bring sunlight in the building where ever required during day time for 10-12hrs a day.
Unlike solar photo voltaic power systems, these products are cost efficient and deliver huge amount of light energy at a small cost. Skyshade Products are Light PipeTM; VentilightTM and Sky Redirect panels.
Skyshade is the only company in India to manufacture Light PipeTM which can transport sunlight from building exterior to interior through pipes.
The goal of the Company is to address the day lighting requirements of all buildings, covering houses, industries/ factories, ware houses, corporate offices, IT parks and commercial buildings.
Social and Environmental Impact - It is a low cost lighting solution during daytime in power outage areas.

Skyshade day lighting solution improves the ambience of buildings, reduces electrical energy consumption & carbon foot print of the buildings.
Current status and Expansion Plans - Two of the products, namely, Light PipeTM and Moulded Skylights have been commercialized and are marketed now.
- The designing and implementation of another product named Sky Redirect Panels is in progress.
Skyshade Daylights plans to enter into markets of South East Asia & Middle East and also take up development of new products systems to use daylight in buildings.
Funding Requirements Skyshade daylights proposes to raise Rs.3.0 Crores for the development and expansion plans.
