Vijay Chandok is the Senior General Manager & Global Head of ICICI Bank's SME Banking division. ICICI Bank Limited is India's largest private sector bank and the second largest bank in the country with its operation span across 19 countries. Mr. Chandok has been responsible for starting and scaling up SME business which currently, provides services to about one million SME customers across the entire spectrum of SME businesses and is being growing at CAGR of 50% in last 4 years. At present , the division contributes about 12% of the fee income for the bank. The SME division also employs about 2500 people and additionally works with about 5,000 associates originating about 1000 customers every day. He was also responsible for the amalgamation of erstwhile The Sangli Bank into the ICICI Bank.
The bank under his leadership has pioneered in shaping the SME ecosystem in India through various initiatives such as creation of biggest small business recognition platform 'Emerging India Awards' along with CNBC -TV 18, 'SME India toolkit', an online SME business resource center in association with International Finance Corporation (IFC) and IBM , USA, 'SME CEO Knowledge Series' in association with Cybermedia to provide expert advise and mentoring to SME entrepreneurs, 'SME Dialogue' - a weekly full page feature in The Economic Times a national daily which carries industry specific stories where they bring up industry issues, share best practices and features successful entrepreneurs, bank also forged MOU with leading energy consulting firms to offer one-stop solutions to industries for 'Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects' and emissions trade including 'Carbon Credit business' , and 'Go Green' initiative which aimed at conserving environment by planting a tree if customer chose to subscribe only electronic bank statements .
He is also a nominee of the Bank on the Board of SMERA, (a credit rating agency) focused on SME's in India and Chairman of New Ventures India (NVI) Steering Committee, which is Global Development Alliance between Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre and World Resources Institute, Washington DC and the mechanism has been supported by US agency for International Development (USAID).
In the year 2007, He has been invited by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), USA to give presentations on SME Banking business strategy in emerging markets and addressed other SME focused conferences / events in countries such as UK, Canada, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Switzerland and Singapore.
Mr. Chandok has about a decade of experience in the Corporate Banking space prior to taking on the SME assignment. He is also a key member of team which was set up to bring a sharper focus on customer relationship management and cost management. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IT - BHU and a Masters Degree in Business Management from Mumbai University.

Pavan Sukhdev is a Managing Director in the Global Markets division of Deutsche Bank AG, based in London, having joined this division in India in 1994. His assignments have included building a leading financial markets business for the bank in India, managing the Bank's money markets trading and liquidity across Asia-Pacific, being COO for the Bank's Asian Global Markets business from Singapore, and being COO for the Bank's global Emerging Markets business based in London. His current assignment is as Head of Business Process Re-engineering for the new Global Markets division, the Bank's combined Debt and Equity division. Pavan is an experienced trader and structurer of currency, interest rate, and credit products. Before Deutsche Bank, he worked for 11 years at ANZ Grindlays, across India and in London.
Pavan was deeply involved in the evolution of India's currency & interest rate markets from 1993 to 1998, especially derivatives. He was a member of several RBI committees for the development of markets - Foreign Exchange markets (Sodhani Committee), Debt Markets (YV Reddy) and commodities markets (RV Gupta). He was a co-founder of FIMMDA, India's professionals association for fixed income markets, money markets and derivatives. He pioneered the introduction into India of an 'Overnight Index Swap' (OIS), now India's most liquid interest rate derivatives instrument.
Pavan has been appointed "Study Leader" for the so called Potsdam Initiative (G8+5 Env Ministers) global study on the Economics of Ecosystem Degradation and Biodiversity Loss. This report intends to for Ecosystem and Biodiversity what the "Stern Review" did for Climate Change. The interim report was presented at the 9th Conference of Parties (COP-9) of the Convention for Biological Diversity at Bonn on 29th of May, 2008.
Pavan pursues his interest in environmental protection in India as a Board member of the Bombay Environmental Action Group (BEAG), India, since 1998. He also set up a model rainforest restoration and eco-tourism project in Queensland, Australia.

He is currently a member of the Expert Committee, Public Sector Restructuring Programme, Government of Gujarat, the Chairman of the Capital Markets Committee of the Indian Merchants' Chamber, Member of the National Executive Committee of FICCI, was a Director on the Western Region Board of the Reserve Bank of India, was the first Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry's Financial Sector Committee and has served as a member of the Finance Commission of the State Government of Gujarat; of the Expert Group on Infrastructure Financing appointed by the Government of India; of the Advisory Board of the Bureau of State Public Enterprises, Government of Maharashtra; of the CII National Task Force on Non-Performing Assets; of the SEBI Committee on Venture Capital; of the SIDBI Working Group on Access to Capital Markets for Small Industries; and of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board Task Force on Policy and Implementation. Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Bombay. He is a qualified Cost Accountant and ranked first in India in the Chartered Accountancy examinations.

Nitin is the founding member of the structured Private Equity practice at Kotak Group and has played the pivotal role in building this business. With over 19 years of experience in Venture Capital (VC) & Private Equity (PE) investing, Nitin has seen the growth of the VC and PE space from being a mere nomenclature to being one of the most preferred financing vehicles in the country today. Nitin's uncanny ability to identify trends and leaders in their infancy and helping them realize their potential has been the hallmark of his career. He has lead and managed investments in over 60 companies, a significant number of which have grown at a scorching pace attaining leadership position in their respective sectors.
Prior to taking up the current assignment at Kotak in June 2004, Nitin was Director with SEAF, a US headquartered Venture Capital fund before it joined hands with Kotak and the founding member of the India Team of Dresdner Kleinwort Capital when it started operations in India in June 2001. Prior to joining Dresdner, Nitin had a long stint of over 12 years with ICICI Venture, the PE and VC arm of the ICICI Group from its inception in 1989 to being its Chief of Private Equity Investments heading its funding and investment management activities of various Funds, till the early part of this decade.
During his association with ICICI Venture he led its investment strategy in Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology), Media/Entertainment and Retailing Industries achieving high returns for its investors by investing in these sectors much ahead of competition.
Nitin actively served as a member of Investment Committees of various Funds at ICICI Venture and also on the boards of several ICICI Venture investee companies.
Nitin started his career with a 3.5 year stint at CIPLA, India's second largest pharmaceutical company in various technical and management positions.
Nitin also has a strong association with Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry in the country, having served as The Director General of Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), the leading industry association of biotech companies in India and having worked with CIPLA. He continues to be an active member of the Executive Council of ABLE besides being a member of several Committees set up by the Central /State Governments and other apex industry associations at various points of time in the field of Biotechnology.
Nitin holds an MBA degree from University of Bombay. Earlier he earned his Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from UDCT, Bombay where his research work led to a patent filing on machine design for manufacture of Novel Drug Delivery Systems. He also completed the Post Graduation Programme in Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Ghent, Belgium.

Ash Lilani is responsible for SVB Global, which consists of SVB's global market activities, and SVB's strategy to promote technology, venture capital, entrepreneurship, banking, and financial solutions to technology and life science companies globally. In addition, Lilani sets the strategy and oversees the operation of SVB's international subsidiaries in London, Bangalore and Shanghai, and future openings in locations including Israel.
Additionally, he is also responsible for SVB's international venture capital and private equity investments along with SVB's international VC banking portfolio. Previously, Lilani served as senior vice president and manager of SVB Silicon Valley Bank's South Bay region, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. In that role, he was responsible for all commercial banking activity in Northern California's South Bay region from January of 2002 until May 2004. During this time, Lilani also served as the country head, India, responsible for the company's network and activities in India. In his ongoing effort to help venture capital clients better understand and leverage India, Lilani led 23 Silicon Valley venture capitalists on a networking and educational expedition to India in November 2003 and another group to China in June 2004.
The trips exposed clients to SVB's connections and clientele in India and China and helped them better understand what it takes to work with Indian and Chinese companies and do business in the regions. In 1997, Lilani opened Silicon Valley Bank's Philadelphia office and managed this and the New York regional offices through 2001. By 2001, under Lilani's leadership, the region had expanded to include coverage of New York, Connecticut, Delaware and New Jersey. Before joining SVB, Lilani held technology-lending positions at Meridian Bank and CoreStates Bank, serving as vice president at both companies.
Lilani co-founded the technology lending practice at Meridian Bank. He is constantly on the speaking circuit in regard to venture and business activities in the global arena and was named one of Silicon Valley's 40 most influential business people under 40 in 2005 by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. Lilani holds a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from Bangalore University and has an MBA from Philadelphia University.

Peter is also the Fund Advisor of the Sustainable Melbourne Fund where he has pioneered a number of innovative financing models and turnkey solutions for the upgrade and retrofit of commercial buildings. Peter and has held roles including the Sustainability Advisor for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Head of International Business for Melbourne University Private, and National Environmental and Engineering Manager for Dunhill Management Services. Peter is a National Councillor for Environment Business Australia. He is a regular presenter at national and international conferences and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Studies.
